Her Story

Azie is a Technical Advisor(Patent Agent) at Womble Bond Dickinson with limited recognition to practice in patent matters before the USPTO. She had passed Patent Bar Exam. She was a Technical Specialist at Hogan Lovells specializing in advanced technologies and focusing on patent drafting and patent prosecution. Previously, she was an Account Manager and Senior Geophysicist, focusing on the commercialization on the oil and gas software, application of reservoir characterization technology, and advisory on the software product marketing.

Before Lumina, Azie was working on Radar for her research where she developed algorithms to determine the effect of frequencies on radar systems and target objects (including SNR, Effective Radiation Pattern, depth of penetration, various types of velocities). Prior to that, she interned at Shell where was involved in analyzing an alternative method to predict noise in sub-salt reservoir Data in Gulf of Mexico using Shell Exploration propriety software.

She worked as an electrical engineer with KMS Technologies, focusing on the development of Marine Electromagnetic sensors. She was involved in the development of the Geophysical Data Acquisition System resulting in a patent. She led the land sensor measurement test for Saudi Aramco. She was also managing the marketing activities, account, and training for KMS Technologies.

Azie spent over 4 years with PETRONAS, the national oil and gas company of Malaysia where she taught and performed research in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the PETRONAS wholly-owned university.

Azie has a Ph.D in Geophysics from the University of Houston. She graduated from University of Minnesota with a MSc in Electrical Engineering. She earned her Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering (Telecommunication) from Multimedia University in Malaysia.
